2022 Yearly Forecast: What You Need to Know

A Year of Intensity and Potentiality

I feel like I've used the word "intense" way too much over the last year - since 2020, actually.  It's for a good reason, though.  Simply put, we're experiencing an intense time that isn't ending anytime soon.

One thing about intensity is that it's the catalyst for change, and inherent in change is potential.  

This coming year brings energetic shifts, spiritual awakening, broken barriers, and a new way of life.

Here are some of the more important astrological happenings in 2022.

Venus Retrograde in Capricorn

The year kicks off with Venus, the planet of love and money, going retrograde in Capricorn.  Venus will remain in this position until the end of January.

Venus retrograde allows us to reevaluate our relationships with others, as well as with ourselves.  It also allows us to rethink and restructure our finances.  

Pluto is also in the mix so expect profound transformation, endings, and rebirths.

Nodal Shift: Taurus and Scorpio

For the last 18 months, the North Node and South Node have been in Gemini and Sagittarius, respectively.  These two signs concern learning, teaching, knowledge, and belief.

In January 2022, the Nodes will shift, signifying a new 18-month cycle; the North Node heads into Taurus and the South Node makes its way into Scorpio.

This energetic shift will highlight money, finance, new ways of doing things (thanks to Uranus in Taurus), and emotional healing.

Along with the nodal shift, all eclipses will be happening in these two signs this year.  Our finances and emotions will come into the spotlight for better or worse this year.

Jupiter in Pisces

Jupiter, the planet of abundance and growth, entered its home sign of Pisces on December 29th, where it will remain until May.  

Spiritual ascension and healing are characteristic of this planetary ingress.  Many of us will be tapping into our spiritual roots, practices, and ideologies. 

Jupiter in Aries

Jupiter will be in Aries between May and October, giving us lots of bold, dynamic, and prosperous energy to play with.

Wherever this falls in your chart is where you'll be motivated to live abundantly, start new things, and put yourself first.

Saturn Square Uranus

This particular aspect was a feature in 2021, and this coming year is no exception.

To sum it up, Saturn square Uranus is about the conflict between structure and freedom.  New ideas and a new way of life will clash with tried and true structures and ideologies.  

We'll feel the full extent of this aspect between October and November.  Brace yourselves; things are about to get real.

2022 for the Signs

Aries

This year brings a focus to your money and finances.  Expect deep emotions to come to the surface; you must process what comes up.  Be mindful of money-making ideas from friends or associates; if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Fitting in versus standing out is a central theme for you this year.  Your friendships and associations will drastically change, which may be an excellent thing for you.  Speaking of change, your partnerships and commitments are undergoing a complete overhaul.  Expect positive career changes between May and October.

This year is about finding the balance between your career and home life.  Don't be surprised if your career moves in an entirely new direction.  Repressed emotions, especially those stemming from family issues, will surface.  During January, you'll want to reevaluate your health and well being.

For you, the theme this year is what you know versus what you believe.  Your beliefs may be radically changing; a new spiritual path or philosophy may be opening up to you.  January is all about reevaluating romantic partners.  Relationships will be up for review by year's end.
